Houston, TX. March 18, 2019 – The Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC) recently hosted their Annual Awards and Board Induction Luncheon at the Westin Galleria. The ceremony honored deserving community leaders and businesses for their support for the advancement of women.

This prestigious award is voted on by the GHWCC Board and other leaders in the community. It is awarded to the woman who has shown exceptional business acumen, economic development contributions, growth, hard work, and overcoming obstacles.

Luncheon proceeds will benefit the chamber’s program of work in the community, which includes Houston on Board, an initiative to see more women serving on corporate boards, scholarships for deserving female students in area school districts; the chamber’s Entrepreneur Accelerator Program; and STEAM Town USA, an initiative to familiarize third grade girls with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math concepts and careers.
